Self-Respect

Self-Respect is a state of being in which there is the total appreciation of all that I am and all that I have: an appreciation based on the consciousness of being a soul.

It is a state of being where I am sustained and satisfied subtly, from within.

A soul who is spiritually full will remain in their self-respect because subconsciously there is nolonger a ‘need’ to be sustained emotionally and spiritually by people and things.

When there is the slightest desire to take or to be fulfilled by others, then the stage of my self-respect falls. It makes me into a ‘beggar’ with a ‘need’ to be sustained. It makes me dependent and can thus make me lose my self-respect entirely.

Where there is self-respect there cannot be arrogance. Arrogance is born of a false identity and false perception of that identity. It is based on body consciousness.

Always remain in your self-respect.

Om Shanti
