Peace of Mind

peace

To be peaceful means to have thoughts filled with peace and power.

Negative and wasteful thoughts are the cause of peacelessness. Peace cannot survive in their presence. They generate dislike, fear, confusion and a feeling of not being in control.

Even ordinary thoughts take space, leaving no time for peaceful and empowering thoughts.

The key to cultivating a peaceful life is to make room for peaceful thoughts. Simple.

Om Shanti

      Hi
I am not sure of your situation but I would say that your mind must be being pulled to some situation which is related to feelings. You may be unhappy about something and if the heart is unhappy the head will not be able to stabilise in any other place until it is resolved. It will not be able to stabilise I peace but also in anything.
      Hope this helps

This is the key question indeed. The answer is: do meditate, not for fill the mind with good thoughts, but for slow it down, almost stop it. We need some time for achieve this aim, of course, maybe some months, even a year. When we can slow down the mind, peace come in, and the next stage is to disidentify ourselves from mind. When we achieve this second state, bad thoughts don’t hurt us anymore. And this words aren’t only theory, indeed, are experience 🙂

The thing is that it is not always possible to quieten the mind. It is easier to replace the excessive negative thoughts with positive thoughts – which are not so fast and excessive…eventually when you can identify with a very positive feeling you will naturally go into silence. And this will not be an empty silence but one that is empowering.

Agree, years ago when I started to meditate, it was impossible for me to stop my mind, in fact, even now is still impossible. Anyway is not necessary to achieve perfect quiteness. I know there are many ways that drives us to peace of mind, and we must look for the best for us. So there are people that can’t replace negative thoughts for better ones, and people that can’t stop the mind too.

    Hi!
My own point of view about peace of mind, based in my experience, is slightly different: to have a peaceful mind mainly means to have the minimum amount of thoughts, avoiding compulsive thinking. Excess of thinking is the source of peacelessness, and peace comes naturally when our mind don’t produce thoughts without pause. When we achieve a calm mind, then is easy to fill them with nice thoughts, and to stop bad ones.
    Namaste!

    hi..

peace of mind over wealth accumulation, and view longer life
expectancies as a chance to explore new options and/or pursue old
    dreams.
