Inside

quality_thoughts

I sit quietly with myself. I allow my thoughts to slowly focus and become present in the moment, now.

I feel deep appreciation and connectedness with myself. My whole world is here, inside of me.

The place is inside.
The questions are inside.
The answers are inside.
The results are felt inside.
And in fact, I am actually also inside.

I realise the importance of keeping my inside clean, clear and pure. The need for myself to be careful not to develop a negative attitude towards the self or to be too critical of the self.

A great deal of love, patience and understanding is required. Then all that is on the inside will begin to shine outside and touch all aspects of my life.

Focus on Peace

ripples

The original and natural nature of ‘I’ the soul is peace.

Yet I experience so much peacelessness within the self. What is it that disturbs my peace?

When a stone is thrown into a still pond it creates ripples and disturbs the ‘peace’.
In the same way when I allow myself to see and focus of the weakness and defects of others, then this become the stone that creates ripples within. From one critical or judgemental thought many related thoughts and feelings are generated causing ripples within.

If I feed the ripples with more thoughts and feelings, if I don’t let them settle, then they will turn into waves or even a hurricane.
Whatever is happening in my inner world will then reflect in my outer world too – within my relationships and connections.

Chose to focus on peoples qualities and not their weaknesses.

The Economy of Thoughts

ecomony_thoughts

Thoughts become more thoughts and can lead to a wasteful way of thinking. Stressful, worried, critical and negative thinking has become such a part and parcel of our lives.

To change thoughts we need to first let them go. To do this it is necessary to let go of the habit of ‘wanting’ and ‘needing’ a particular result from any person or situation.

The speed and quantity of our thoughts are fed by our own desires – subtle desires as well as gross. Whether or not we get the result or the goal we desire actually has no connection with the quantity of our thoughts. Thinking about it again and again will not change it nor make it the way we want. It will only create stress, anxiety and worse.

Be aware of the mechanics of how thoughts work and economise.

Thoughts are energy, don’t throw away that energy by wasting them. Be economical with your thoughts. Use them wisely.

Quality Thinking

quality_thoughts

We have heard so much about the quality of our thinking and how much of an impact that it has on the quality of our life. We know about positive and negative thinking but how do we catch the quality of our thinking while in action.

Opinionated thinking is not good quality thinking as it has a fixed based. It is positional thinking which is ego based.

Limited thinking is connected to the influence and indulgence of our senses, with limited experiences. It has a deep connection with the way we relate to our body.

Good quality thinking is very fluid energy, very flexible and detached. It offers an insight into a situation without being opinionated or critical.

Check: What is the quality of my thinking?

The Critical ‘I’

The nature of being critical makes us harbour negative thoughts and feelings inside. Being critical has deep within it the dis-ability to appreciate.

Criticism is based on that which I see with my eyes and the habit of seeing fault. The moment criticism starts we take that which is outside, inside. Then the negative and critical thoughts generated create equivalent feelings and attitude within the self.

Criticism starts with the self and ends with the self – subtly, I myself will be harmed the most by it. Slowly but surely, criticism will drain all the positive and light energy that naturally sits within the self. This will then not allow me to remain happy, satisfied, detached or free.

Develop the ability to see and appreciate; to see and then simply move on.

Save the self from developing the habit of the the critical eye because the critical eye creates the critical ‘I’.

Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts are critical, judgemental and presumptive. Their effect is to destroy enthusiasm and close the door to opportunity.

Whether the thought itself is right or wrong, whether it is justified or not, is not as important as the bad feelings and negativity that it generates within the self and others.

Negative thinking puts my mind and feelings into a prison of negative conditioning. It puts up walls around me and does not allow me to be flexible and thus closes the door to seeing new possibilities.

For those around me, my negatively will pop the balloon of enthusiasm, newness and creativity, leaving a  bad taste and bad feeling in the hearts and minds of others.

There is always a positive way to think and communicate, there is always an alternative to negativity, even if it takes longer to achieve.

Watch that thought, think positive!
