Identity

On my spiritual journey, the question that constantly arises in my mind and in my consciousness is …..who am I?

Who am I?

I find myself engrossed in activities and engaged in conversations and soon enough I become a part of that which is happening around me. In fact I lose myself in that and in doing so I lose the connection with my true identity. Who I am is then based on what I do and how I look and what I have achieved.

However, who was I before all of that? what was I?

My identity is that of a spiritual entity, of soul. Subtle, pure and complete. I have moved so far away from my original identity, that I find it difficult to comprehend. And yet, the ultimate truth is that I am a soul.
A being of spiritual light, eternal and immortal…….

If I allow myself to be still and detach from the gross reality that I have become accustomed to, then I will be able to transcend into the subtle and the reality of that.

I the soul am a subtle energy, let me experience that now.

The Unlimited Me

happiness

Am I aware of how I limit my capacity by imposing constraints and restraints on myself?

Knowingly or unknowingly, my beliefs and perceptions are continually limiting me. How I think, how I feel, how I respond are based on these ‘old’ learnt beliefs and perception.

Subconsciously, I have learnt to create my own limited reality. It provides safety, security and above all I am in control. Behave any differently and fear of the unknown and unexpected arises and brings with it the feeling of vulnerability.

Choosing to base my life on a limited reality means I am not able to ‘see’ that in fact I am making an infinite reality, finite. Everything within my limited reality, including the world, relationships and myself, all become finite.

I am a soul, an energy that is eternal and immortal – one without limits. To realise myself in this way I need to become unlimited, Let me choose to go beyond my self-created limits – physical, mental and emotional.

When I am able to conquer the illusion of fear that keeps me limited, I will break through all boundaries and be free as I was always meant to be.

Who Am I?

consciousness

They say that we are three people: the one I think I am, the one others think I am and the one I really am.

So who am I really? Who am I?
I am a soul.
I am a soul within this body

I know this but do I understand the deep significance of this truth?
Do I even care?

I am a soul…. I am energy, I am light.

As a soul, I am eternal and immortal ….. I am never born and I will never die.

I cannot be seen with these eyes and yet I exist without a doubt.
I am beyond matter and sound, beyond anything tangible yet I know I do exist.

It is I that speaks through these lips and sees through these eye. The body does not see, it is the soul that sees. The body does not speak, it is the soul that speaks through the body.

I am the soul, the traveller and this is my journey through time.

Soul Story

bodyconsciousness

Once upon a time I, the immortal soul began a journey through eternity – a wonderful and colourful adventure through time.

As years passed by, I played my part, interacting with people and surroundings as required. I played many characters along the way – changing the costume of my body many times.
Until, in time, I became lost in the story – becoming fully absorbed in the roles I played. I forget who I was – who I was originally before my journey began. Amazingly I had lost my own identity!

It is then that the adventure began – the search for the ‘real’ me. I searched from the mountain tops to the bottom of the seas but I was nowhere to be found. Until one day I looked wiithin, behind the costume and the masks, and there I was sitting silently just waiting to be found. I had found the silent, eternal and most beautiful energy of me!

This is my story, the story of the soul – and I guess it is your story too.

Have you began your search for you?

Internal Peace

internal_peace

To find eternal, internal peace is the ultimate need of us all.
We may not be actively looking for it but it is our desire to reach that place of comfort and completeness – the experience of peace.

Even though we want it, most of us don’t see it is a tangible or well-defined goal for ourselves. Maybe the reason for that is that we don’t know how it can ever happen, or how we can achieve it.

In a world that is fast and ever changing, a world in which there is fear and insecurity, how is it possible to find peace?

The solution is simple – so simple that most of us fail to see it even though it is standing in front of us.

The key that will open the door to the possibility of attaining peace within the self is the choices we make. When we choose to stop all negativity in our thoughts and feelings, our words and vision, that will be the moment of change.

Make a choice for Peace – stop negativity.

Silent Witness

silent_witness

At the very core of my being, in the innermost space, there is a place of total silence. To reach this space and to sit and experience it is the most profound experience.

Within this space I become the silent witness without any needs or pulls or duties.
Watching every scene without question. Deeply accepting the secrets of the drama being revealed slowly in my presence.

Internally there is so much stability that it is a stage of being free from waste. A stage of seeing everything, being a part of everything yet absorbing nothing. It is a strange but very liberating state of being.

In silence I can see reality as it is, without influence – nothing added and nothing taken away.

I am here watching this character play the role that has been given, but I am not the character or the role. I am the the silent witness within, the eternal and immortal soul.

Truth

Truth works on its own. No matter what, Truth will do its work: It will make the blind see.

What is Truth? Truth is that which will not change. Truth will always remain truth.
If it changes over time or in situations then that cannot be truth. So truth is that which remains eternal and immortal.

What is the ‘truth’ about me?

The first truth is to know who I am. When this is understood then all else will be clearly seen. It may take time and patience to see and realise truth and it may not be obvious.
When there is untruth mixed in the truth then the truth within that also gets polluted. Then it can no longer be seen as the truth.

Let me sit in front of God the Truth, and experience the truth about myself.

Om Shanti
