Peace, Silence and Power

mahabharat

Peace of mind begins when there is no waste or negativity within my thinking. It is then that the incognito battle within the mind stops. Thoughts slow down and become few and I experience peace within my mind.

If I allow anything to come and disturb this state of thinking then I myself am responsible for the peacelessness that arises. Peace or peacelessness are a state of mind. Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved through understanding.

From peace I consciously take a step into silence. I connect with the feelings and vibrations around me and within me. This opens the door to experience the subtlety of my authentic self.

Within the experience of self, the power of spirit emerges. A spiritual strength which gives a sense of contentment and completeness. Of having reached my destination.

Wisdom of Silence

introversion

Deep within our consciousness each one of us holds an awareness of truth and innate wisdom. The soul is eternal, it has always existed and so why should it not be all knowing?

When I am silent and still, the power from that silence sharpens my inner capacity and ability to understand. The silent state allows the habit of continuous thinking and analysing to subside and enables the soul to express its eternal wisdom. This is a very natural experience as though the capacity to know with clarity and far-sightedness is already part of my psyche.

From that inner space of stillness, inspiration emerges. Inspiration which comes from a pure and detached place of eternal wisdom. It unfolds itself, in front of me, without any justification and I merely observe, knowing undoubtingly that this is the truth.

Beyond my capacity of clever thinking and intellectual analysis, the power of silence, reveals wisdom from deep within the all knowing self.

Spiritual Centering

being_centred

My spiritual centre point is the inner space from where I experience my natural state of existence – a space of peace, love, joy, truth and strength.

In order to drive a car, we engage the gears and when we come to a stop, we need to disengage them and return to neutral. Similarly every time we think, speak or act, we are engaging. Sometimes we are able to move along in lower gears…..not moving too far away from our centre. However at times our ‘car’ goes into overdrive, moving way beyond its capacity – maybe even reach breaking point and we experience many stress related feelings and emotions.

A simple practice of taking a minute of each hour to return to the centre will protect me from wavering too far from my centre. Also the power I will have accumulated over time from the hourly practice of centering will allow me to navigate back to the centre quickly and effortlessly.

Take time out to dis-engage and re-charge.

Decision-Making Power

the_power_to_Discern

Living in demanding and fast paced times, we are often faced with having to make snap decisions.

Under such pressures, how do I know if I am making the right decisions?

When I constantly practice the art of being a detached observer, stepping aside from my own needs and wants, rising above influences of learnt behaviours, acquired beliefs and distorted perceptions, the decision-making process becomes natural and easy. Because as a detached observer, my decision-making is powered by the foundation of truth and pure-intent.

Allowing my decisions to be based on truth and purity, I will remain free from any worries of what the outcome maybe… I simply ensure I respond from the right space.

Power of Thoughts

devil_workshop

Thoughts are the seeds of all creation.

Everything begins with the quality of our thoughts. Mankind’s achievement of walking on the moon to our ability to overcome personal challenges such as an emotional trauma all begin with our thoughts.

Nurtured and nourished wisely, thoughts grow to become the foundation to sustain that which has been created until the seed grows into a tree…more trees flourish and before we know it we have created a beautiful forest and much more..

If we can start to understand the power of thoughts, surely we will be very careful to create thoughts that will be of benefit to me and those around me and gently discard and discourage harmful wasteful thoughts.

The secret lies in discovering the Power of Thoughts.

Who’s Holding My Power?

fear_thoughts

Within the self I have the capacity to generate both positive and negative energy. When I use my spiritual power to access the positive then I will remain stable, happy and content. I consciously activate my power of choice and therefore have control over what I experience.

When I allow external circumstances to trigger emotions such as irritation, upset, anger or worse, then I am using and empowering the negative energy in me. And negative energy will always cause me sorrow.

In any situation I can chose to start from an inner space of positivity and then respond. Alternatively I can react to whatever is happening outside of me. I can decide to use my positive energy or allow circumstances to hold my power. The choice is always mine.

Take time to develop the habit of working from the inside out. Hold onto your power!

Tolerance for Life

tolerance

We may not realise it but we take power, comfort and happiness from thing being the way we want them to be. When they are not, then the ‘need’ for them to be our way, challenges us to react to make them ‘right’ again.

Tolerance is to allow things to take their course without the need to control or change them. It is about accepting the differences we see.

The power of tolerance allows us to break the strings of these ‘needs’. It allows us to let it go and frees us from such dependencies.

We don’t need to suppress our own feelings but tolerance allows us to see from a wider perceptive and in doing so, it allows us to understand and accept it.

It may appear that we are weak when we tolerate, but actually weakness lies in the inability to tolerate.

Tolerance is the greatest of all powers. Let’s use it in action and thus develop it in our life.
