Projected ‘Reality’

The world is a projection of what is in my mind. What I see and experience in my life’s drama belongs to me and me alone. Nobody else can see or experience it in quite the same way.

If I cease to exist then my drama will also cease to exist….. and this is true for every other person too.

It seems this concept is revealing the ‘reality’ of my life – that what is happening to me each day is merely a projection and perhaps not even ‘real’. When I am able to digest this then I will be protected from the influence it has on me – on my behaviour and experience.

Whether the scene in my life right now is making me upset, angry, sad or even very happy – it is all just a projection of my mind.

Step back and see the drama of life as a witness – partaking in everything yet being influenced or dependent on nothing.

The Magnet

InheritenceThe relationship with the Supreme is often likened to a magnet. His power is such that it can draw and connect souls to Him easily. Just as a needle is drawn and connected to the magnet without effort.

However for this to happen the soul must be clean and free from rust. If rust has developed on the soul then no matter how powerful the magnet it will not be able to pull the soul. The connection will not happen.

The rust that develops on the soul, over time, begins when it starts to identify itself with the body. When body consciousness develops, the soul, starts to use the vices such as greed, attachment and anger for it’s ‘survival’ in the world. These vices are the the rust that slowly covers the soul completely until it forgets it was ever a soul at all.

Soul is an energy which is eternal and imperishable and therefore there is no need for ‘survival’ and no need for the vices.

As, I the soul, wake up to this reality and allow it to manifest practically into my life, the rust will begin to lift and I become available and attracted to the Supreme Magnet again.

The Reality of Me

I

When I ask myself the question – Who am I? How do I choose to respond?

The ‘I’ that I am familiar with is based on many levels of identities.

There is the physical identity – the ‘roles’ I play, the titles I have and the identity by which others know me – my relationships etc.

I also identify myself as a personality – the way I express and experience myself. This ‘self’ has been created over time, through the experiences and learning I have acquired in life. It has been developed through events and the environments that have influenced me in life – culture, society, schooling etc.

The least obvious one I connect with is my real identity – one based on spiritual awareness. In this awareness I know ‘I’ exist – the conscience and conscient self. Not the role but the one whom the role belongs to, not the body but the one whom the body belongs to, not the personality but the one whom the personality belongs to. I am the one that holds all of these but am not any of them.

So really ‘Who I am?’

I am energy, the life force, the soul. The one that is eternal light and life. How much am I aware of the real ‘I’ and how often do I understand and experience the real ‘I’?

Unless I learn to understand and experience the real ‘I’, my ‘being and doing’ will continue to be based on my physical identity and my personality, developed though life experiences. In fact I will remain in denial of my own reality and furthermore deny myself the experience of being that.

Can I experience myself as a soul?

Step into Freedom

2015-04-20_0804

Do you ever feel like you want to be free. Free from the baggage of the past and the uncertainty and expectations of the future?

Freedom holds within it an experience of lightness, being carefree and happy.
If this is truly what we want then what is it that binds us so tightly to all that we ‘by definition’ don’t want?

Somewhere, somehow there is a sense of ‘need’. We need these things, we need those people , we need to do certain things and know other things. We place this very heavy chain of ‘need’ around our necks. Needs based on perception and speculation and not based on any proof or guarantee.

Even though the soul will yearn to be free, once trapped in the chain of needs it is very difficult to see beyond that.
We have to step back and see things in a detached and objective way in order to see the reality.

Take a step of courage and let go of one ‘need’ that is tieing you down. Let go and experience a step into freedom.

My Still Reality

Spiritual_power

Take a moment to become still.

Let the body become still….allow the mind to become still.
Feel the subtle energy around the body and allow that to also come to a point of stillness.

Now become aware of the soul, the consciousness within. Notice that it has become so still.

Within this stillness let me listen to the silence. Feel and experience the silence.

In the moment is held my reality. Who I am, what I am and what I need to do.

This is my reality.

Step into Silence

silence

One would think that, compared to the big attractive physical world we live in, the inner world of silence would be dull, empty and insignificant.

However when I allow myself to let go, of everything that pulls me out into this physical ‘reality’, and step into my own inner space, then I will see and experience the value of silence.

It is the space in which I come face to face with the reality of myself. The self that cannot be seen but only be experienced. The realisation of my real identity – my eternity, my power and my beauty.

It is a space that is without the ‘noise’ – the sound, colour, movement – of the physical world which diverts me and attracts me outwards again and again. It is only in this space of inner silence that the self can be realised.

My inner silence is deep, subtle and full of riches. There is a very tangible experience of total contentment and of having reached.

Step into silence.

A Step of Fear

fear_thoughts

What is fear? Does it really exist or is it just an illusion?

Fear in fact is a feeling and feelings are created with our minds. We project thoughts from the past and hearsay into the present situation giving rise to doubt and concern. The quality of thoughts in turn creates what we call FEAR.

The feeling of fear can be crippling. Not only is my behaviour affected but it generates stress in my mental and emotional state of being.

If I can stop the flow of such thoughts for a moment and step inside, away from the influence of past experiences and all the external facts that seems to fuel fear, then I will arrive in a safe space. A space that is real and stable. The more I remain in this space the more I will be able to connect with ‘reality’ as opposed to the ‘illusion’ that is generated through influence.

To stay in this space and sustain the self from here will help be remove fear totally.

Fear is crippling , step away from fear.
