Wisdom of Silence

introversion

Deep within our consciousness each one of us holds an awareness of truth and innate wisdom. The soul is eternal, it has always existed and so why should it not be all knowing?

When I am silent and still, the power from that silence sharpens my inner capacity and ability to understand. The silent state allows the habit of continuous thinking and analysing to subside and enables the soul to express its eternal wisdom. This is a very natural experience as though the capacity to know with clarity and far-sightedness is already part of my psyche.

From that inner space of stillness, inspiration emerges. Inspiration which comes from a pure and detached place of eternal wisdom. It unfolds itself, in front of me, without any justification and I merely observe, knowing undoubtingly that this is the truth.

Beyond my capacity of clever thinking and intellectual analysis, the power of silence, reveals wisdom from deep within the all knowing self.

The Light

on

Darkness is nothing but the absence of light. As soon as there is light, darkness no longer exists. You cannot create darkness, but when you take away light then darkness appears.

In the dark there is uncertainty, weariness and perhaps even a fear of the unknown or the unseen.

When there is ignorance in our lives there are these feelings of fear and uncertainty. With knowledge there is enlightenment, wisdom and a freedom that releases the soul from sorrow.

Spirituality brings enlightenment. It brings the light back into the soul and frees it from fear and pain. And as one practises and applies spirituality into their daily life, it makes the soul shine bright and brighter until it becomes a guide for others too.

Step into the light today.

Is that Knowledge or Wisdom?

Kow_wisdom

We live in an information society. Whatever information is needed can be obtained with the press of a button.

With all this information we are able to gain so much knowledge on almost any subject. Information or knowledge is seen as a sign of power. One who knows is a master and can thus lead and control – direct and even mis-direct.

But when does knowledge become wisdom?

When we contemplate knowledge, then apply and integrate it in our lives: our awareness, attitude and actions. When it is used in relation to the wider truths of life, it is then that it becomes wisdom. Knowledge on its own may be useful and give temporary gain, but it is only wisdom that transforms knowledge into power – spiritual power

Wisdom is the power of experience that gives internal stability. It is the deepest ‘knowing’, based on experience, which then allows one to be internally free.

Am I wise?

Sleep of Ignorance

sleepofignorance

Am I sleeping in the sleep of ignorance?

When I am asleep I am absorbed within that experience of sleep, dream and illusion. I am not even aware that I am asleep.

The sleep of ignorance is a spiritual sleep that happens whilst I am awake. It is when the intellect loses its ability to discern truth from falsehood, reality from illusion. It is the result of mental and emotional tiredness, not physical tiredness.

Wisdom is needed to remove the ignorance. And when that wisdom is used in action it awakens the soul from the sleep of ignorance. Carelessness and laziness of the intellect reduces its ability to use wisdom and will easily lead it back into the deep sleep of ignorance.

Awaken your power of discernment and bring wisdom into action.

Tolerance

Tolerance is a great power. When we tolerate something or someone then it is as if we are holding back from reacting negatively in some way.

Normally when we react in a negative way, it is because we need to ‘prove’ something, need to be heard, need to show that we have some control etc..

In tolerating we let go of any temporary attainment  that we may receive: being respected, looking smart, getting our own way etc. We let go of all these false supports.

Not to tolerate means to give power to jealousy, ego, anger or any other vice. It allows them to emerge in a gross form. The basis of any vice is always something negative; something that will eventually cause pain and sorrow.

Each scene, word and action that manifests itself is based on a very complex set of circumstances that have gone before. I am not to know the ingredients that have been added so far. If I cannot add a positive ingredient to the mix, then it is better not to add at all. To understand this is to show tolerance. And to tolerate requires wisdom.

Reclaim your power of tolerance.

Charioteer

The charioteer has been shown on the chariot, holding the reins of the 5 horses. The horses are mischievous and adventurous they will lead the chariot and the charioteer astray if left to their own devices.

They are the greatest companions for the charioteer and allow him to move forward at great speed. However, if these same companions are distracted and influenced by enemy tactics, then the charioteer is at risk of also being deluded into making the wrong move and becoming trapped.

I the soul am the charioteer sitting in this body. The five horses represent the 5 senses: to hear, to see, to taste, to smell and to touch. These are my great companions. They are a part of the body, the chariot; they are separate from the charioteer, the soul.
However the senses can be pulled and influenced in all directions. The job of the charioteer is to direct them and not be influenced himself. To use them but not to become enslaved to them and the information they supply.

With these under full control the charioteer is able to withstand all challenges that come in his path and move with great wisdom.

Be a wise charioteer.
